   When my laptop goes into sleep mode, it won't wake up. I have to hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it off and then restart the dang thing. Why?

   What are your power settings on and off battery set at?
   
   If you want assistance, you need to provide information. We have no idea the brand and model of laptop nor what version of Windows you are running. That's helpful to know if the hardware has sleep problems and also any special programs the manufacturer puts on that might conflict with the OSes power settings.
