SLI video problem

I've just finished putting together a new system and I can't get a signal from the video card to the monitor. The M/B is a ABIT KN8-SLI with AMD 3200 CPU and the Graphics Card is a single Winfast PX6200. The card is installed in PCIe slot1, with the shadow card installed in PCIe slot2.

Memory is Kingston 2x256 mb and I have swapped them around in different slots and also used single sticks with minimal devices connected, all to no avail .

There is a query on the PSU which uses a 20 pin ATX plug going into a 24 pin socket on the M/B (according to the manual, this is acceptable) but there is also a 4 pin auxiliary power socket on the M/B for which I don't have a plug and I'm now wondering if I should have a ATX-2 PSU to make everything work properly.

I'm also not getting any beeps from the onboard speaker when I power on, but fans and led's all work okay. I've assembled several computers in the past with no problem but this one's got me pulling my hair out. Any help would be much appreciated.

Problem partly solved. I've discovered that the auxiliary 4pin socket on the motherboard is in fact, a power connector for the CPU. (So why isn't it called a CPU power connector???) It has meant that I've had to buy a new PSU and trash a perfectly good unit that is useless in one of these new systems. (Maybe I'll go back to playing golf. Golf clubs don't suffer from obsolescence)

I am still getting a "No Signal" message on my monitor with the PCIe card, so I installed an old PCI video card in one of the 2 PCI slots and it worked. Looks like the PCIe card is a dud. God, I hate computers.

Did you try just one of the PCIe cards without SLI? Also SLI may need to be activated in the bios before it will work. May tell you in MOBO manual. Also some PCIe cards need power directly from the PSU and use a special plug. Check Card manual

The card in slot2 is a blank (like the old Rambus memory blanks) supplied by Abit with the motherboard. Installation of the blank is supposed to automatically enable slot1 only. I'm in process of RMA'ing the card. I just hope that the card really is faulty because if it isn't, I'm up the creek.
    Thanks for your suggestions.

The 20/24pin mobo & 4pin cpu power connectors must be powered. I think the 4pin is called AUX power.

Did you try each of the 4 video outputs? d-sub & dvi. Mine outputs from the bottom dvi in the upper card, close to the cpu.

I don't know about your mobo, mine requires a tiny card on the mobo to switch between single & sli configs. Did you connect the SLI bridge/link? it comes with the mobo. It's very small. Rectangular. Scratch that. 6200 doesn't have an SLI connector.
