Sli

I'm thinking of going SLI, but the card I have is no longer available. I have read that you can SLI two cards, as long as they are the same type of card.

Just was curious if anyone has done this?

I currently own a GTX 580 (like in my sig), just would like to get a 2nd one. Maybe EVGA. Also, looking at the corsair AX1200. Then eventually, either getting a 3rd 24" LCD, or buying a 30".

 

So, I guess I'm alone here? If so, eventually, I'll post my upgrade when it comes around. Sorta like a guide. I guess.

The mobo does 3 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (at x16/x16/x1 or x16/x8/x8 mode) so dual x16 channels.

Nice gear buddy but my cardboard box still wins.
