slide show software

Hi, can anyone recommend any freeware for creating a slideshow with music that will be in a format that I can burn to a dvd and watch on tv? thanks

 

I was able to create a nice slide show with music tracks with Faststone . I saved it in the program then burned the file on a dvd to watch on the big tv but it said unknown disc. when I checked the file type it was an application that apparently ony works with the program. i did google around and found a couple of softwares that will create the format in flv. since they're not here I'm concerned about malware.

Here is a Microsoft program that is free that will do what you wish.

(From it's help file) The codecs are available on the linked page above.

If it cannot directly create a Divx file or you want the created file converted to a true DVD image, use this.

It's what I use and I personally have no issues or problems with it. The Ken Burns effect rocks and is fully programmable.
