Slipstreaming the right .inf driver files.

Hi everyone, First,I would like to thank all of you for your nice and kind suggestions.
I'm using WinFuture XP ISO builder for slipstreaming my motherboard drivers in the installation cd, for which I've to add .inf files only. But in my motherboard cd there are more then one .inf file locates in a particular folder and the software refuse to add more than one file from a single folder so how should i know which is the correct file for my motherboard, it is Asus 945gc (P5G-MX). Please help me. Otherwise I con't slipstream it ever. Waiting for your nice advice. Thank you.

 

I'm not a pro with slipstreaming drivers in an XP setup disc, but I have done it a few times and never had any problems. I have not personally heard of the program "WinFuture XP ISO builder", so I can't comment on it, but I can strongly recommend using the freeware program nLite. It was created to allow the end user (me and you) to easily build our own custom XP install discs with all the drivers, service packs, and updates slipstreamed in to the CD. It also allows you to remove any Windows components you don't want (like Outlook Express for example LOL ). It is a VERY popular tool, and is easy to use, and there's a bazillion guides all over the web about using nLite and adding drivers or updates. (BTW- nLite will also create an ISO image of your custom disc, so all you'll need to do is burn it; nLite can also use update packs like those available from RVM's Web Site)
