This computer is acting very very slow. It takes about 11-15 secs to open anything or even right click on a site. But after it has been done once, it's no problem repeating the procedure (normal speed).

I have done everything in the "READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal" and there were no viruses/trojans/whatevers found. I ran HiJack this and there was nothing unusual found there either. I figured as much because this computer has NEVER been on the internet before now (it's my friend's comp). I have also done the memtest (for 5 hours) and there were no errors. I've defraged, disk cleanuped, and looked at the running processes. The only thing that looked odd to me was there were 5 svchost.exe running.

Hi have you ran C-Cleaner, Cleanup! and Empty Temp which are all available from MG downloads?
Also do you have an active firewall enabled?

 

Yes, I ran Ccleaner. But this computer has NEVER been on the internet. Never before it arrived here today. And because this computer is never on internet, there was no use for a firewall.

 

Could be a problem with some of your installtion files, possible corrupt files. Reformatting and reinstalling is the obvious option but I'm sure there's another solution to this. Try doing ctrl+alt+delete and end every process by your username on the processes tab except explorer.exe. Then try opening an application and see how long it takes to load.
