Hi, my Lenovo Flex 2-14 laptop has been running slow and erratic for a week or so. For example, when I start up I have to keep rebooting it about 4 times before it takes my PIN. In the box to put PIN no matter what keys I press nothing is entered. Then after about 4 restarts it works. Other little things just not working quite right. Please could someone look at the attached logs for me.
I followed your Run & Read Me instructions.
Even though I am running W10 I still had to turn ff UAC manually before it would run MGTools.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Please rerun Hitman and remove these items:
    Potential Unwanted Programs _________________________________________________

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Software.OneClickProcessLauncherMachine.1.0\ (BoxoreOU)
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Software.OneClickProcessLauncherMachine\ (BoxoreOU)

Reboot and rescan with Hitman and attach the new log.

Looks good. What malware issues are you still having, if any?

    Hi, Thanks for helping.
I have let it run for a couple of days to see how it goes.

Everything seems to be working but it is still very slow at times., eg.
Slow to respond to open chrome, documents, downloads etc
Opening a picture takes about 5 seconds before it comes into focus.
Booting takes a long time although I have disabled lots of boot up programmes. The blue donut seems to run forever.

Sometimes I get no response to X'ing out of things or even Right clicking to exit, then a few minutes later it will work.

Yesterday I was moving some pics and when I highlighted in blue to cut or copy, it wouldn't respond to stopping where I wanted, just highlighted them all!

    Thanks again Jan

    Let's run one more scan:
Please go here > At the very bottom of this page ==> https://www.zemana.com/Download
... second column from the left under AntiMalware > Features..... FREE AntiMalware

It auto updates, and you click scan. After it's finished, click on the icon that looks like Cell phone strength bars. High-light the report (by date log was produced) and click on the "Open Report" icon. (looks like a folder). That notepad.txt can then be copied/pasted into another .txt doc and saved. Upload that, please.

Thanks, I have tried twice to download but it says 'failed-network error'.

I went to more information and 'fix internet stability issues' and cleared the cache and tried again but it just stuck on 'connecting' then went to '500 Error
    Generated by cloudfront (CloudFront)
    Request ID: p3U5_yYyZtrr0y-AC9YXr1XoaIi--E9-DCYAfh9PQuINk8wLc8hVgA=='.

I've tried again twice but it won't download.

Well, it still is probably system issues as opposed to malware. But, let's try again:
Please download the latest version of FRST the below link.
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: Make sure you download the proper version ( 32 bit or 64 bit ) for your PC. Only one will run, the correct one. So it you make a mistake and download the wrong one, go back and get the other.
    • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    • Press Scan button.
    • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your next reply.
    • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

The only thing I see is that you are running Avast and Windows Defender. I suggest that you post in te software forum for additional assistance.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    3. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    4. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    5. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    6. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Thank you so much.
Is having Avast and Windows defender a problem? Should I not run both?
I will post in the software forum.
    Thanks again, Jan

    No, you shouldn't run both.

    You are most welcome.
