    Hi there,
I just got some new malware scanners (recommended here) and soon after I ran them I began to have problems. My computer started crashing about 5 mins after start up repeatedly. My computer was already painfully slow (for at least a year and I had other things on my mind than finding out what was wrong).

This is why I got new scanners a week ago (I wanted to start fixing the problem) to begin with and also because my Norton subscription expired at the same time... problems started happening around the time I was installing Avast and SAS. Some before; the crashing started after. I began following your 'read and run me first' instructions the next day (about three days ago).

I performed SAS scan then recorded the log.
Then unfortunately someone got on the computer and I think got more trojans which were picked up by mbam.
to be safe I than ran another complete SAS scan before continuing. There were not infections detected.

Root Repeal did not run correctly. I uninstalled it, double check that my UAC was off etc and rebooted and reinstalled. Still no success. It kept getting stuck stuck on the same process concerning Bell Mobile Connect. Something about a file size mismatch. Not sure and couldn't
complete the process to get a log.

Some problems remain though the computer is no longer crashing. Start up is VERY slow on the infected user account (about 6 mins after selecting the user profile) and application launches (like mozilla) take a really long time and blink repeadedly as they're trying to launch.

The computer is quite a bit faster on the new Admin account I made (though I don't think using the word 'fast' in reference to this computer in any way applies ;) I don't know how to have Bell Mobile Connect NOT start up when I boot up...I just need to access it when traveling and this seems to take up a lot of time. And one little think you might know off hand which is my computer keep switching from US english to Canadian Multilingual Stardard which drives me bonkers. Is there any way to lock this?

Thanks for you help...here are the logs from the successful scans.

    Cheers!

    I am not finding any malware on your system. You are slow because of this;
    Code:
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 1.00 GB
    Total Physical Memory 0.99 GB
    Available Physical Memory 165 MB
Any other issues you are currently having should be addressed in the software forums.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.We recommend them for doing backup scans when you suspect a malware infection.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

    3. Go back to step 6 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
