Slow Computer on Network and Internet

Hi,

I am kind of stumped. I bought 7 new computers for our office. 6 of them work fine when accessing the internet or our internal network. I have one computer that downloads at 1 Mb/s when the others are between 5 and 6 Mb/s. At first I thought that I had gotten a virus or something, before I had installed my antivirus. I went through the procedures inside the forum and posted my logs and everything was said to be good.

I have tried changing my nic card speeds from 100 Full/Half 10 full/half and autoneg. I actually loose my connection when I goto auto neg. So right now I am at 100 Full. I tried different cables, I tried turning off firewall and antivirus to see if that made a difference and nothing.

I was wondering if there was anything else I could try before I go out and buy another card.

do you have a old nic you swap out? if so try that. sound like the nic is the issue.

 

I didn't have an PCIE nic card so I just went and bought one to start troubleshooting. I will post back and let you know the results

 

I put a new card in and it works... Would your assumption be that I just got a faulty card with my pc or is there a setting that could have possibly been changed that slowed my pc down.

It would be nice to know if there is something that could have been changed that is causing this... I have 6 other of the same machines. So for future reference it would be helpful.. Anything you can think of?
