Slow DSL

Currently have SBC Yahoo DSL! Lately I have been having very slow connections. SBC came out, and switched the original modem, and replaced it with another NetFLX modem. Seemed okay at first, but got extremely slow again within a couple of days. Have done the SBC DSL speed test, which has measured different speeds at times. Some days it would measure in DSL range, others it would be in Dial-up range. Now it measures below 56K dial-up speeds. I have run Norton Anti-virus, no viruses found. This is becoming seriously aggravating.

 

First go here http://www.dslreports.com/faq/faq and read these. It will probably be a great help. Also make sure any device plugged in to the phone line is filtered except for the dsl modem.
