Slow gameplay and startup

hi!
I had some trouble with spyware and virus, but now im clean, i guess, the problem is that now my computer takes a lot more to start and in games like Warcraft III, even when i play in Local Network my computer is very slow. It has 256 of ram, but it wasnt slow before my spyware problem. Something new had to happen... maybe some Antispyware or Antivirus software i installed that made my computer slower.
Plus i read other threads and someone sugested to uncheck all boxes in msconfig startup. And i found things like BCMSMMSG.exe, SynTPLpr, SynTPEnh, igfxtray, hkcmd, E_S10IC1(appears twice), realsched, qttask, jusched and i wanted to know if these things are important, if i can errase some or for what do i need this programs for. I also have Microsoft Office in my system startup, do i need it on startup?

I also havent been able to download SP2, problem number 0x8DDD0004.

Go to your C:\Windows folder and look for a file called Windows Update.log

That will have a log of the attempted update.

If it's not a large file post it here, or if it is then just the last 30 or so lines.

Also, in Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Manage Add-ons, and look in both "Add-ons currently loaded and add-ons currently used" and see if you have "WUWebControlClass".

If you do, make sure it's enabled.
