Slow Games

    ok ive got win xp pro and after i reformatted my harddrive when i play counterstrike my comp lags like its junk but it cant be..... Ive got a cable modem and all that high speed internet jazz...

    My specs are:
    ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard
    AMD Athlon XP 2600+ w/L2 cache of 512MB
    512MB of Corsair Ram PC3200
    Maxtor 40GB ATA 133 Ultra harddrive

    I have taken up barely any space on my computer...

    Could it be that when i installed Counterstrike then i installed steam? Should i remove counterstrike? will i still be able to play CS through steam?

    Did you download your motherboard chipset drivers and newest video drivers and install them?

    I know this topic is a little old, but- Did you download counterstrike through steam yet? Installing Counter Strike was pointless. you download it through STEAM.
