slow puter

i have 2 security systems ms security esential and avg free would this slow my puter down and if so what is best to replace them. many thanks p.

I think the standard mantra is to never have two antivirus programs running simultaneously on the same machine. From all of the bad press AVG has received here lately, you might consider uninstalling that program and running only the MSE package, as it seems to have gotten mostly favorable reviews.

If you do decide to remove AVG, make sure to run the AVG Remover appropriate for your machine.

 

I would follow Calibans advice and remove AVG as it has become very bloaty and glitchy...
MSE is a good AV tool and i have it running on my daughters machine.

As a back up scanner i use Mbam *free......

I run this on my own machine once a week...(Quick Scan)... you must manually up-date it before running as to get the latest definitions.
Have your MSE set to do a Full Scan once a month, this will help in keeping your machine as clean as possible.. Though I must stress that *NO AV is gauranteed to keep you safe, only the user of that machine and common sense will.
