slow quicklaunch

    Hi
    My quicklaunch is anyhtjing but that. If I select anything beyond the double arrows it can take up to 30 secs to show icons. During this time the task bar and quick launch bars are inoperable and I have a grey graphics block on the display, any ideas??

    My first move would be to give the explorer.exe process AboveNormal priority. Could that help? When the taskbar demonstrates this behavior, use CRTL-ALT-DEL, select Processes, right-click Explorer.exe, click Set Priority, try AboveNormal.
