Slow start up

    We've had the DELL now for nearly 2 years and it's fairly slow at starting up. :eek: How do I tweak it so that it start's up quick enough as if it was brand new.

    Any suggestions would be helpful. :)

    Try going to control paned / users and click change the way windows logs on and off ...uncheck both boxes (fast switching and the other one ....??? can't recall at the moment what that one is....grrrrr).

    Also see what is in your start folder.

    The other one, Use The Welcome Screen?? And by the way there aren't any programmes in the Startup Folder.

    Run the cleaner and the issues (on issues ...do opt for the backup when prompted ...never had to use it, but rather be safe than sorry.)

    Are you networked? You may exp. slow down while trying to establish network connections.

    Right click my computer,properties/advanced/start up and recovery/settings,at the top of the box, uncheck the top one, change the next one to 15. ed
