ok well my comp has been starting up slow for the longest now. it was on selective startup (msconfig) and i changed it to normal, dont know if its any better now. i checked bios to make sure quick boot was enabled too. i also checked whats starting up at begining in msconfig and cant figure out why. its not painfully slow but this is a 4 month old computer and my slower celeron 1.7 started up faster.

if it were me, i'd check your comp for spyware and/or virus. i'd be willing to bet, that you have alot of stuff starting up (if nothing is found)? check start/programs/startup, and see what's there. how much stuff is open by your clock? etc., etc.
