Slow System

    I followed all the safety precautions and maintenance posted on majorgeek guides and full scan my computer every other day with 1 AV and 1 Anti Malware.

    So probably i dont have one.

    Questions is why does my PC cant run simple old games smoothly (Battle Realms,DOTA,Red Alert works a little bit fine)


    Heres my system summary using speccy and advance system care

    I added info from dxdiag i saw some errors there


    Hope someone will help me on this.

    I just briefly looked over the My System file.
    First: you are running SP2. Support for that ended July 13 2010. That means you have not received any security patches in over 2 years.

    You are running DirectX 9.0b which came out in 2003

    DirectX 9.0c came out in 2004

    I'm running DirectX 9.0c on my fully patched XP SP3 (32bit) Home
    version 4.09.0000.0904

    My first recommendation is to download and install SP3.

    You need to try and install it again.

    Also in My system, I saw lots of errors related to "a device attached to the computer is not functioning". You need to figure out what you have attached that isn't working and remove it.

    I have issues converting my SP2 to SP3 last time i updated from microsoft website it was not successful. Besides theses simple games were running on older pc probably SP1 year 2005 below.


    I will try to update my directX

    How can i fix this?
    0337 - Notes : Hardware-accelerated Direct3D 9 is not available because the display driver does not support it. You may be able to get a newer driver from the hardware manufacturer.
