Slow Web Cam

I have recently purchased a Logitech Quickcam IM. When I run the cam inside yahoo mesenger without broadcasing on the net it tracks my movements well. As soon as I go to broadcast mode the picture becomes very jerky and does not represent real time at all. Can anybody tell me a possible fix

try to lower the resolution on the webcam...cause your connection don't allow you to "broadcast" live video feed.....64kbits...it not a lot...
