    Hello again chaps

My Dad, who is nearly 90, and 150 miles away, is having some problems. He is running Vista, but I'm afraid I don't know what IE version.

He is getting very slow loading of web pages, but his line speed seems reasonable at about 3.8Mbps. I got him to try it with the LAN cable, and that made no difference. I then got him to try safe mode with networking, and that cured the problem.

    Any ideas?

    H Geeks

I'm surprised not to have had a reply. I'm in the correct forum, right?

Perhaps my question isn't that clear. When I said safe mode with networking cured the problem, I mean that loading of pages is normal in safe mode. But on returning to normal mode, web pages load painfully slowly again.

What can I advise him to do?

OK, now I am totally mystified as to why I've not had a response, having had such amazing help here before.

I've improved things for the old man with a reset of Explorer, but I'm not convinced I'm at the root of the problem. I think I'm stopping waiting now, though.
