    Yesturday, when I was booting up my computer in the morning and I got to the login screen and I typed my password as usual, but the problem is when It actually logs in.
    After I enter the password it will take about 30 seconds to get from that screen to my desktop, from there it will take about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes to load my taskbar and icons, usually it will take roughly 5-10 seconds.

    I have no idea why, I searched google and only found fixes for Windows Server logins. The only thing I could possibly think of what caused it is when I was using one of this websites guides to security.

    I might of changed a setting I shouldnt have, but I dont know which one.

    I also tried getting rid of stuff with CCleaner, I defraged and did about 5 different Spyware scans.

    Thank you for any help.

    did you install anything from that site, if so did it install in startup folder.
    got to start>run>type"msconfig"(without quotes)>select startup tab and see what programs are set to run at startup

    Speed up the Start Menu
    =======================

    The default speed of the Start Menu is pretty slow, but you can fix that by editing a Registry Key. Fire up the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop \ MenuShowDelay

    By default, the value is 400. Change this to a smaller value, such as 0, to speed it up.

    Speed up the Start Menu (Part two)
    =========================
    If your confounded by the slow speed of the Start Menu, even after using the tip above, then you might try the following: Navigate to Display Properties then Appearance then Advanced and turn off the option titled Show menu shadow . You will get much better overall performance.

    Have you rebooted with the same issues?

    If, so, I'd probably reverse everything from page 2 through page 4, since the rest looks like basic tweaks.

    I tried that Speed up menu thing, didnt work.

    And yes, it does the same thing on restart and I tried to revert the settings but it still happens.

    I Did though find this error in the even viewer when I started, anyone know what it is?
