I've been getting "verifying DMI pool data" for a few days. I opened the case to check the cables and noticed that the small ABIT IC7 fan in the motherboard is not turning. Should it be?

Could that be my problem? I had this error about 2 weeks ago and it finally loaded windows again, but was slow. Well I didn't act quick enough before getting the error again.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi, tegary...

Any way you can provide what type of motherboard you've got, or even a snapshot?

If the fan in question is not the main processor/heatsink fan, it could very well be a north- or southbridge fan - overheating of either of these integrated circuits could cause major problems...

One quick try would be to get your hands on a spare fan, and plug it into the motherboard or power supply (whichever is used) connector for the dead fan - cuts your troubleshooting in half...
