small pointless messsage but...

i have a navidia geforce2, graphics card at the moment. i know its rubbish and i want to upgrade... so i was searching around (not just the net) and my dad came home from work, (im 14) saying that his freind is selling a navidia geforce 5200 (around that i might be 5400 but its close.) for £15 thats about $22. am i getting my moneys worth or should i keep lookin

any advice on buying a up to date graphics card can you please tell me....

or if your selling one (not botherd if its 2nd hand.)

^^ that's a semi descent card that doesn't cost a fortune .. I haven't read any reviews but it's certainly better than a 5200

 

since you are from the uk this would be a good place to look for some pc stuff including graphics cards:

but as u can see all 5200 are over 15pounds so i think if there are no problems with the second hand card u wanna buy then i think you should go for it.. however make sure that it will work on ur system since there can be many problems with second hand graphics cards

 

thanks for the replys but i think ill buy the card. as i dont have much money (as im only 14,) and its just a update to at least play the leatest games.

but if you do find a cheaper one or a better one for a bit more ill consider.
