Small Preview Monitor

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can help, i am after a small preview monitor for testing several pieces of kit (VHS/DVD player, PCs etc etc), it needs to have the obvious inputs on it (HDMI, VGA, Composite). i know these are availible but cant seem to track one down. maybe someone has one? and they could pass the model number on to me.

As you probably well know this is a trusted site and in highly popular.

There are some small Hand-held TV's that support the standard AV/composite connection.
May I recommend you build a device that supports AV/composite etc and just has a AV output IF you are skilled enough to combine a few schematics.

 

You may want to refine you search a bit and use the term field monitor instead of portable TV. You may still struggle to find one with all the inputs you need but I did find a couple. If you search Field monitor hdmi vga under shopping.google.com you should come up with some fairly relevant results.

Don't know why I didn't think of it before but you could always try converter cables.

 

Convertor cables can cause issues via distorting audio/video, and if using for testing equipment in the field, its better to have native hookup. We had some nice sony rack mount monitors with many inputs, but i dont remember the model numbers and we ordered these a couple years back. If i can find em ill let you know.
