small problem (i hope)

hello to everyone and hope you can help with a small (i hope) problem, when i receive picture attachments on my hotmail account, i try to download and it just brings up the welcome screen and also on a few website's i use some of the pictures just show up as a red cross in a white box, i'm usuing windows xp and have norton anti-virus package installed, hope someone can help, thanks stephen

 

Control Panel > Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab. Click Restore Defaults. Click OK. A reboot may be needed. Hopefully this will work- it's the 'easy' fix If it doesn't, be patient and I'm sure someone else will post a solution....

no not using aol, using digiweb and did what hopperdave2000 said, still no change

 

I think you have a bandwidth limitation for some reason. I've noticed a few sites like this or just slow in last few days.
If you right click on the missing picture and choose show picture you will at least get to see the picture.
It may sort itself out in a few days. Are you using dialup or broadband?
