Smart Defgar and Oftimizer

    I use to defrag and optimize my 3 computer and takes about 1 to 2 hours to finish and now the three computer having their problems like super slow boot and i have to use to recover by xp cd and use chkdsk /r after that goes fine and the routine comes every night happens that giving me headaches...comp specs:1.6 ghz P4, 40 g HD, 64mb VCard...hmm.. what should i do....Rather than to reformat and reinstall windows?T_T

    My own rule of thumb: if the defrag takes longer than an hour you need to do it more often. If it takes less than 10 minutes, defrag less often. You don't want to waste a lot of time in order to save a little time. Do the defrag during a quiet period, such as when you're away from your desk for a meeting, or after hours. In that way you don't waste any productive time.
