SMART disk error

Im starting a seperate thread for this issue since it is my personal computer. I have a HP pavilion dv7 and for the last few weeks I have been getting a message when starting the computer that says

SMART disk Error
Hard Disk 301


I assume there is an issue with the hard drive, but I ran a hard disk check "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" in tools and then I did a self test when booting the PC and both resulted with no problems found.
Even though no problems were found, do I still need a new drive?

If I do need a new drive, where is a reputable place to purchase one and how do I know which drive to get for my computer?

 

Hi my friend , go to Start - Run devmgmt.msc - Ok - you have to expand Disk Devices to inform about the code of your hdd , maybe the hdd is faulty :wave
