Smart FTP prob (

I think I may have inadvertantly created a small problem on my website.

I was using smart ftp and was clicking in the window to highlight and rename, but I think I added and extra folder.

When I open the site I get the file folder, then a nother file folder with the red in the corner and then my files.

Question how do I delete or change this back to one file folder or delete the extra one without dumping all the site?

Clear as mud? I just don't know how to explain.

The extra folder contains the site folder with the site files. This may be affecting how the site displays.

Anyone know what command to use?

I'm on a machine with fetch 3.03 and there is one folder with one dot, then another folder with two dots and then the files.

Any help will be appreciated.

 

I don't have any specifics for you as I'm not familiar with SmartFTP. Just a word of advice though, backup everything, that way you can figure it out through trial and error without the risk of losing anything permanently.

 

I have the site on cd, but it is questionable if it would upload and configure properly. The site is kindof a mess, not following any format and using java and shockwave and flash.

I downloaded it with my mac and the site does not work from my computer without cgi-bin and some other database stuff. So I cannot afford to play with the file hierarchie, without exact instructions. If I delete one folder, I assume all the content will go, so I need to know how to re-archive the folders, so to speak to not loose the site.
