smart media -- card error

I have a Olympus D-360L. I have two smart media memory cards. I used both of them in the computer the other day a few times. Today, I went to use these two cards, one was fine. The other nothing. I put it back in the camera and it said card error. Is there a way i can recover the pictures i have on this memory card. I have tried a few of the so called recovery programs on the internet. They didnt work. I have tried Pareto Logic data recovery ( didnt even come near the drive i had the smart media in) Data recovery---and Photo Recovery genus. Maybe i didnt run them correctly but i didnt have any luck with them. Could some one please help me? thank you
