Theres never really a need to, unless an update specifically requests a reboot.

    >>I charge it while on so I am glad to hear that is ok.
During a conversation the screen goes dark. I have it set to one minute.
When the call is over, do I just touch the power button to see the red phone to hang up?
I think if I press too hard I do not get the chance to press that red phone + wonder if there a certain way to do it.

Yes, when you are answering a call, the screen goes black and iluminates back when you pulled it out of your ear, then you see the red button to hang up. You do not really need to turn it off.

I'll try pulling it out of my ear.
I like to use speaker phone and when it goes dark I don't know what to do other than press the power button.

I just called tech and and got mixed answers as to whether or not I should power down when charging.
One pointed out that I will get better battery life if I power down to charge.
    What do you think?
