Smart Protection 2012 impossible to remove??

    Hi,

    My girlfriend recently borrowed my laptop and it now has this Smart Protection 2012 on it... I have seen all the different walkthroughs about how to remove it but it seems my one is different and alot smarter than others??

    You cannot open task manager, it stops it.
    You cannot open files after you have renamed them, it blocks it. (So no running mbam or any malware scanners.)
    You cannot go to msconfig to try to stop it running on startup. It blocks it.
    You cannot go into safe mode, it seems to have put a file in there to make it blue screen, and you cannot delete the file, it blocks it.

    Any help would be appreciated :banghead

    Please try to download and run the latest version of MGtools and save it to your root folder. If you can't get it directly on your C: drive, run it from the desktop. Your log will be at C:\MGLogs.zip.
