Hi Guys :Hope I am in the right section of Forum, apologies if not.
I am certain you must have come across this before,
How can I,using my smart TV, deactivate the age verification which is restricting me from watching most movies etc on Utube?.I might add I am well over the age restriction part!!
I have reset all the settings on my TV via parental control to allow unrestricted viewing of all content, but on bringing up Utube, the age verification irrespective of TV settings stops play.
Again I have attempted to follow instructions using my PC from Utube instruction, but they appear to affect the viewing of single movies??
Is there any way I can disable it completely, so that it is inoperable, as their are some excellent movies on utube ,but which we are constantly being blocked from viewing. Thanks.

If you want no parts of google, then you should stay away from YouTube (not to be confused with the Utube company ( http://www.utubeonline.com/ ) because google owns YouTube.

No I don't bow down to Google that easily, thats the problem they own too much, fairly soon its most of your PC.As it is I have found a very simple way of watching all Utube material without even signing it.Anyone interested I can pass on, how to. Thank you for your reply

Go to Utube enter in search:How to watch age restricted videos on youtube without signing in.

Select: Solution Cone, and follow simple instructions to alter search URL as shown. Its legal and simple, if you require detailed instructions get back.(ignore any instructions to go though a Google account only deal with URL which involves deleting two or so characters and inserting a forward / )Works every time and allows multiple choice on excellent movies from around the world as well as Dramas plus a lot more)

I don't see the point of such a laborious work around when just creating a google account (in any name you fancy!) would resolve the problem straight away.
Google are no different to Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL or any other similar organisation. Watching all kinds of other catch up TV requires a sign in as well so it isn't just You Tube by a long way.
Parental controls can be turned off easily in most situations but, not unreasonably, they want that done with an account.

Everyone is entitled to their own preferences, so I respect yours. As I do the professionalism of this site.
How ever I can assure you that after years of experience I have always found any connection with Google to be bad news! In fact surprisingly enough if you Google "Google dissatisfaction" you might find where I am coming from. The other problem with Google is that all their software including Gmail is not soft ware in the true sense of the word, Google install/issue it as a product, so if you wish to leave say Gmail you have to return the product, and that is the most laborious drawn out process possible.
But this site as always, has helped me out again. And I appreciate your reply, as said each to their own. All the best;)

Then the problem is clearly with your TV's settings.

Well said,I totally agree. Its a full smart TV ,in which I have entered settings and removed all restrictions imposed on all programme subject matter(as all our children are now long gone!).We enjoy watching movies in the evening, with Utube being one of our favourites which we can access via the TV.....however we are still locked out by age restrictions imposed by Utube on many so called Adult films. If you have any advice as to what other settings I can alter it would be appreciated. The TV is only 2yrs old, a Sony 42"..so in advance thanks

Your comments are appreciated and have been followed without success. The TV gives me the option of signing in and activating Utube via the TV, but only by going on line to "Utube activate" and insert coded letters provided. This immediately brings up a requirement for Google Gmail! Which is the one place I do not wish to be...so thank you for your assistance, but if it means Google then Utube will have to be no go!Will bring this thread to an end now as it does its best to help, but I always end up where I stated. Google.:(
