'Smartfix' shareware Problem

    Can anyone help me with a link to a virus free site where I can download the 'SmartFix' software?

    Tried to download it from 'majorgeeks' but got a Virus Alert!!

    There is no virus in ANY of our files. First be sure your anti virus is up to date, number one reason for a false positive. Second, do a complete system scan, you may have a virus spreading. Finally, when you play with security settings, your virus software may go off in certain areas.

    Smartfix Shareware Problem

    Thanks for your info!
    Did a full system scan with no viruses detected!
    Also downloaded some other software with no problems!
    Downloaded Smartfix again to a disc......did a scan and No virus was found!
    However, on installing the smartfix software a Virus Scan Alert appeared saying that the Virus File Detected is 'smartfix.exe' and the Virus Name is: W32/Generic.worm!p2p
    Any further help would be appreciated!!

    Ok, my next move will be to download and verify the file and contact the author and pass this link to him. He may have an explanation. Hes a great guy and supports his products.

    I've contacted the author and got a very quick response!
    His explanation is that there is a bug in the McAfee Anti Virus software and that he has contacted McAfee requesting them to fix the problem!
