SMBus Controlle?

    Could someone tell me what is a "SM Bus Controlle". My PC went down and I did a restore but when it powers up it finds new hardware. What is a SM Bus Controlle used for? The only thing that seams to be missing is me Fax program.

    Before you did system restore, something might not have been recognised, or, the driver became corrupted - when you did system restore, it found it, and appears to have reinstalled. Could have been a loose lead (sata lead, ide lead etc, and it could be anything new you put in since the system restore point.
