SNMaster.idx problem

I am not literate at all on this subject and need help, please. I cannot open aol on my computer. I receive the message "snmaster.idx" cannot be found. Load the file again. I put my aol disc in put cannot find the file. I deleted and reinstalled aol from internet explorer but still get the same message. I tried to download the driver detective but they want me to purchase it. I am not sure that i have to purchase such a program. Can you give me any advise? Thank you in advance for any information.

I tried the information to reinstall the SNMaster.idx file that didn't work so I uninstalled the aol program and reinstalled it and that wouldn't work either. Twice when I tried to log on right after the installation I was able to log on to aol, but again I cannot. Thank you for you help though because I do not know much about operating system and programs.
