So how was everyone else's day?

So I don't know what the best part of my day was -

When Kay put the cat (snuggles) into a plastic grocery bag, and she got caught in it, scaring the bejesus out of herself, so she tear-assed around the apartment at top speed, three times, over furniture, under furniture, across thing laden table tops sending them cascading to the floor, until it finally came off under the futon.

Or when my best friend in NC, Ivory asked to speak to her because she was being naughty and kay screams "I'm not f**king you!" TWICE into the phone... and then after a lengthy time out for it I ask her who taught her to say it and she tells me, F**king f**king f**king NO F**KING WAY mommy, no way.

it's been a loverly day. How was everyone elses???

 

Compared to yours...I'm doin' peachy!! Actually, due to some criminal activity here at the plant I have to do a mandatory 12 hour stint today to "watch the place". Basically, I'm sitting here on my butt waiting for someone like you (dear) to post something. It's as slow on the boards today as it is here. I've read the Google news twice.

 

well, that makes my day peachy and boring so far. my mom's friend is over because her car's dead, and tonight, there's a little shindig going on at my friend's house. so yeah. that's my day so far in this boring little world in the south bay.

but wenchie... wow. what the heck was that all about? seems like aa little... odd.

 

My day was too long, even though I slept in till 4pm.

 

Had a visit from my ex wife, my son came round, it pissed it down, hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

Pretty good day really

and at least tomorrows always another today, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof and all that

 

So sorry it's been such a.... "colorful" day Wenchie. Hopefully, she forgets that word soon.

We had a yard sale and I sat in the sun most of the day. Brought an umbrella out with me to keep from frying. We made something like $60. but we spend around $10. of it on other people's stuff. It was nice though. Got rid of a bunch of stuff that we didn't need and got a few things that we do need!

Now, we're off to play cards with a couple of friends. He's got 2 ferrets and they're hilarious. Eric and I used to have a pair of them before we had kids, and I miss them sometimes, but I don't miss the smell. The kids have their favorite babysitter watching them, my friend, Bethany. She's just wonderful. The kind of friend that you always want, but no one can really be that great, can they? We just keep waiting for her faults to show up! The kids adore her. Drexel got up the other day and told me, "I want to go see Bethany! ONLY Bethany!" Makes it a lot easier to leave them.

 

My birthday today - August 21st. Happy birthday to me.

Anyway just got back from 2 weeks holiday/vacation in Wales - land of the male voice choirs, castles, sheep and difficult to pronouce place names.

Well, off to bed and unpack everything tomorrow.

Peaceful day here. Just got up from a late nap & my butt's still dragging. Shouldn't be this tired on a Saturday.

Me, too. I did a pile of housework, and then woke up about a half hour ago with my book open on my chest. Only thing that sucks is I have to get up and be at work at dark-thirty in the morning, and now I won't get to sleep until late.

However...I'll take that over dealing with a child who is proud of showing off her new words!

 

True that! I take it that soap in the mouth is out of fashion these days.

 

I wonder what kind of price i'd get on ebay... *sigh*

 

well, I had to go return my sirius tuner, it broke, at least they got me all hooked up fpr free, since as usual I am flat broke. being poor sucks.

 

Just been working since about 6:00 a.m., local time. I've finally finished @ 9:30 p.m.

Caught the Flu again!

Other than that - Life is 'good' - So some people say.

Put in a new kitchen window yesterday. Today is sheetrock and can lights everywere. Oh yeah, I gotta scrape up the linolium floor too.... yipee, hooray, ugh.
