So is ie11 the best browser now?

IE 11 is the browser that currently frustrates me the least (doesn't 'not responding' that often)

Firefox is unusable: always having unresponsive script error causes it to hang forever, & cumsumes between 358-498 MB RAM (upgrade is not an option, this is a 3GB RAM Work laptop)

Comodo Icedragon is just as unusable: unresponsive script error happens less often, but cumsumes just as much RAM. Worse: trying to go to Any websites='cannot find server'

So anyone knows a better non-chromium browser? (chromium's multi-process architecture eats more RAM than firefox)

I have IE11 installed, but rarely used.

Best browsers for 64-bit systems: PaleMoon, Waterfox.

Palemoon might work. It's just a faster Firefox clone.

That, for the most part, was true at one time. Not any more.

I think IE11 is very good. It seems quick in responsiveness and seems to be less prone to heavy CPU resource consumption than Chrome. Actually, I've been using Opera a lot for a long time but I am disappointed that they dropped the traditional Bookmarks function when they made a major overhaul some months ago. So, just yesterday, I set IE11 as the default browser on my notebook PC; will try that for awhile.

    Hi

Very variable and each to their own as to browser preference, I use Chrome and IE11 in work and at home use a mix of Firefox Nightly and IE11 x64 and find no major issues with any of them. Issues folk have with browsers are due to misgivings over security and in the main security issues in browsers are the fault of the user downloading illegal stuff, hence why they get malware, its not in the main the browsers fault.

I think use a browser that you like the UI of...

I'm having some trouble with Maxthon4. I love Maxthon 3. Maybe someone can show me how to make Maxthon4 have the same features as Maxthon3. When I installed Maxthon4, the 1st thing I noticed was under the "grey square happy face {the Avatar spot}, the menu box was gone. Instead it had sign in with Maxthon Passport. I want my menu box not Passport. Since I found no information of how to get the menu box back that I so desperately need, I reluctantly clicked the Passport. When I went to the "next tab" where I have 9 pages of web sites for immediate retrivial , I found they were gone. Since I had not clicked on the email link yet, I was able to x out and re-enter Maxthon 4 and Wallah!!!! all my 9 pages of web sites had returned. Unfortunately, the menu box had not. When I made the mistake of clicking on the email link to activate Passport, I lost the web sites again, and still had no menu box. ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, how can I get things back like it was in Maxthon3. Does any body have any solutions. At this point I re-installed Maxthon3, and have everything back, including the problem I have when I click on a link that takes me to you tube.......you tube says there is an error. Haven't tested the downloading of streaming video yet, but I expect I will have problems there too (which Maxthon 4 corrected). So how can I make Maxthon 4 bring across the 2 features from Maxthon3--menu box when clicking on happy face icon and all the sites I have saved under my "next tab" button?

Haven't used IE in many years, I disabled it on my LT. It is only used for Win updates, FF has been my stalwart!
