So, I had computer problems over the weekend, and, well, I got a new hardrive from the PC repair shop because I'd constantly get the blue-screen-of-death repeatedly for weeks, until my just wouldn't startup again on friday.

Anyways, the computer store owner who repaired my pc was nice enough to create a "windows old" folder which was copied over from my old hardrive, onto the new one. Now he did this so I could keep movies/music/pics/ect. But he advised me to sort through it in order to keep what I want (music/movies), and then delete everything else so I don't get a BSOD again. So, I just copied all the old vid/music and reinstalled all the old software (via Ninite). Now, here's where it gets interesting for me. I had reinstalled firefox, but all my old bookmarks were gone and lost forever (because I hadn't bothered to back them up in years) right? Well, that's what I thought at first. But then, after browsing through that "windows old" folder, I found my original .json files from just last week, before the crash, that apparently, firefox has to create in order to re-load your bookmarks everytime you open up firefox (I think). So, I imported one of the old .json files into my new firefox browser and *bam* it worked like a charm! Everything is back in firefox. Totally awesome! Especially for someone like me; who isnt really all that computer savy ;)

So I'm just wondering. Since I have that entire "windows old" folder; what else can I restore from it? Like, that old .json file restored stuff; Is there anything else on my pc that can be restored? Cause I was told to delete it. See, I'm not even sure what to look for. I just don't want to delete it, until I know what might be useful to keep, you know? So, any ideas?

BTW - I never would have found the old firefox .json files if not for a totally helpful coincidence. In an unrelated problem, my new Firefox browser freezes for a short-second while scrolling down (it didn't previously). Like, if I'm on a full web page (like a forum with a full page of posts) the act of scrolling down is jittery and it'll freeze for a bit before reaching the bottom of the page. So, I googled for a way to fix this. One of the ways I heard was to delete Firefox's sessionstore*.js every time the freezes reappears. You do this by clicking on Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Open Containing Folder. Now, within that folder, I noticed the old .json files and imported them. Totally awesome coincidence (but it still gets jittery while scrolling down, lol).
