As I stated in a previous thread I'm thinking of upgrading from a K8T Neo FIS2R and would appreciate anybody's experiences with the Asus K8N-E Deluxe or Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR

I recently built a rig around the asus K8N-E deluxe. The mobo was extremely easy to set up, I didnt have to change any jumper settings whatsoever.

I did have to buy an extension cable for my back chassis fan, but this may have been because I have a large case.

The mobo manual was very easy to read and understand, with close up diagrams of all the headers.

    Processor installation was perfectly easy.

on the other hand, you might consider going with a 939 socket mobo that supports dual channel RAM, as the cost difference is very small and they have more features and are more upgradeable(4 dimm slots for 4GB). And you can get a AMD winchester processor for $150 or $200.

    good luck.

Thanks for the info on the K8N-E Deluxe. I've considered the 939 socketed mobos, but I plan on using the 3400+ and all the rest of the stuff shown in my signature.
