Softmodding 6600 GT?

I heard that is was possible to softmod an X800 GTO and get an extra 4 pixle piplines. You could have 16 instead of the original 12. I really wanna buy a 6600 GT. It there any way of doing this with a 6600 GT? Are there even any other pipelines to unlock?

 

I know that some of the 6x00 series have software masked pipelines, but I don't know about the 6600GT specifically. Rivatuner will let you unlock pixel (and vertex?) pipelines that have been software or hardware masked, but I really can't recommend unlocking hardware masked 'lines. I'm sure someone will tell you what you can or can't unlock on the 6600GT but rivatuner (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163) is the way to go.

 

I've done some googling around, and it looks like a 6800LE or a plain-jane 6800 (the AGP versions, not the PCI-X) both have 4 unlockable pipelines and some OCing headroom. The 6600GT doesn't seem to have much of anything going for it.
