    Hi,
I face this problem for last six months. I regularly check with majorgeeks.com for the latest versions of the following utilities and use / update them.
I have found the same problem with P4, Intel core2 duo, Athlon 64X machines, all running in XP-SP2.

I use registry mechanic 5.2, and other free packages: AVG antivirus & antispyware, CCleaner, UnDelete+, OpenOffice, FoxIt pdf reader, IrfanView, VLC media player, along with Firefox (now ver. 3) AND Free RAM XPRO.

As long as Free RAM XPRO is active, some programs, mostly Firefox crash frequently (even within couple of minutes). Sometimes the system needs a fresh boot. After deleting the former I have not encountered such crashes yet (two days).
Do I forget Free RAM XPRO? Is it really needed?http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

I haven't run that program since 98SE. You don't need it on anything newer.
