Hi teddie, does it show up when you use the find feature? start-> find ->all files folders ,it should show up as application plus all other related files.

You know what I do sometimes?

I download it again, and see where it saves it by default and what the name of it is.

Thats usually the last place something was saved.

I was wondering, does that automatically overwrite the first download or do you get two copies then?

Sorry, I should have editted it to say, I start the download process again, to the point where it asks me where to save it :)

    Stupid edit timer

In some other thread I thought I read that a newer version overwrites the older version, and with a new download of the same program would it overwrite the first one, or ad it? I haven't noticed any dialog box when I've downloaded twice on 98se, but on my mac I get asked if I want to replace with new program dialog. Just courious...

Usually it asks to overwrite too.

Did you try Adrynalyne's method of another download to see where it went? All my download go to the same folder, so if not there the download didn't work. What kind of tool was it?

On some of the test stuff do they actually download or just test form the site your visiting? I've done some scans that didn't actually download.

    What OS are you running?

I just checked on my machine the find->files folders->download and got a recent account of some downloads, not all but some.

Most emportantly you need to know the name of the downloaded file. It could be abreviations or any combination of words letters pertaining to the software. They don't always make sense.

It happened a couple of times to me that the downloaded file went into one of the subfolders in Temporary Internet Files folder. Besides, I found it there under a different filename.
Check the above folder – if you haven't cleaned it already.
