software for converting avi to dvd

    how can i get video in avi to play on a dvd player? do u need to convert it.

    Hi

    Yes and try Handbrake or DVDFlick as they both do good jobs of converting AVI to DVD format, also do tell us what windows version you are using as some applicatiosn work better in specific OSes, the two I list are good from XP to Windows 7

    If your dvd player supports AVI/DIVX then all you do is put the avi on a dvd as is. If it does not support DIVX then you need to convert it to Mpeg-2 DVD
    their are alot of was to do this the easiest way I found is to use
    Convert X to DVD
    http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/
    Its an all in one tool that does all the work for you
