software for downloading books

    Is there software available so that I can down load books to my computer rather than buying a Kindle?:confused

    eBooks come in lots of different formats. The books you buy for a kindle can only be read on a kindle. If you wish to buy an eBook for your computer, purchase it in a pdf format so Adobe Reader or Foxit, one of the many Adobe Reader replacements, allow you to read it on your computer.
