software help neded

I need a freeware program that compresses or reduces file sizes
but they aren't graphics 3d etc.

I have a graphics program that allows us to save object files for use on other
projects, but the file sizes are alot larger than the project file. I've tried searching under "reduce file sizes" and "file compression freeware". All I seem to find are programs for zip files (have one) and ones to compress image files,3d files etc. I need to have my object files compressed so when sent to others
they aren't too big.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
