Software not Installing - ? ?

Seem to be having a strange problem with Premiere Pro 2. I've tried to install it and nothing happens.
I've checked in Task Manager and there's no process which is related to the installer.

It gets as far as keying in the serial number (which appears to be accepted), accepting the EULA etc, and then that's it. It never actually does anything else. I've tried several times, both on this computer and another one. Both meet the requirements.

In addition, I even tried to install the free trial version but again, installation never happens.

Can anyone suggest why this might be happening, or possible solutions ?

Running XP Pro SP2. Haven't had this software installed on here before. Both versions are downloads, not CDs.

 

The download may not have been complete, as it sounds like. Maybe you can contact the manufactor and have them send you a cd.
