Software Question

what do you people think of that program called GameGain? also when i play world of warcraft i get alot of hard drive thrashing and the game pauses while the hard drive loads stuff(mostly around towns)...any tips on getting that to stop?

 

more memory sounds like the best sollution.

try and cut down the software that runs in the background, to make best use of what you have, and consider investing in more.

 

thanks for the reply..yeah i dont have any background progs running..i even disabled some services that are not important..i know i need more ram..just wondering if there was any temporary sollutions or helpers..what about that software called gamegain..they say they adjust settings for more gaming performance...anyone try that software? what do you think of it?

 

not tried that particular peice of software, but have tried others that claim to improve gaming performance, never work for me!

 

You could try the basic things like making sure you have DMA enabled for the hard drive in both the Bios and Device Manager.

Also try removing any unused programs and doing a thorough, optimised defrag.
