Software recommendation?

    I have 2 .avi files, about 350mb each, and I'd like to join them into 1 .avi file. I'll then convert the new single file and burn it DVD to view in my home player. Does anyobdy have any suggestions on what software I can use to join/merge two .avi files into one?

    BTW- the util MUST be freeware ;) (I'm poor :( )

    If you have Nero Vision Express (if you don't BUY IT! it is great) you can add 2 AVIs to your DVD layout - don't use a menu and it will play one right after the other... cuts out the whole joining step .. which most of the cases I have tried causes more problems, like sync issues . etc..
