Hi Geeks, On a local PC running XP Pro with 5 user accounts (Big Family) I want a program to run on logon for only one user. I know how to set the local group policy to start a program at logon. But it is for all users logging in. How can I limit this to one user, and the others will not have access to this program? I know there is probably more ways than one. Thanks a lot

To load a startup app for only use user, drop it in their startup folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\"Profile"\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

To lock down an app for all but one user, or users you specificy, first turn off simple file sharing.

My Computer-tools-folder options-view tab, scroll to the botom, and disable simple file sharing.

Then you can lock down the .exe for the app per user.
