Software to clone your HDD periodically?

Im building a pc for someone i know; what they want is a software that periodically (IE: every 10hrs) copies EVERYTHING in the primary hard drive to a 2ndary hard drive that is external; it doesnt matter the price it costs he just needs the software; anyhelp apreciated.

 

I use Powerquest DriveImage V7 to do just that. It's brilliant, and costs approx £27 in UK. Once a week I mirror my C:\ drive onto my Maxtor OneTouch External HDD, though you can do it daily--or even every hour--if you want. It takes about 25 mins to copy 28 Gigs via USB 2.0.
Incidentally, Maxtor OneTouch drives come with Dantz Retrospect Backup Utility included, which is highly reputed, but I use DriveImage because it is superior in my opinion, and I already had it.
Apart from DriveImage, the other major contender is Norton Ghost, but the fact is that the sales of the latter were being severely damaged by the former. So much so, that Symantec has recently bought out Powerquest in an attempt to quell the opposition.
Maxtor OneTouch 120GB External HDD with Dantz Retrospect costs about £108 in UK, and its a brilliant product too.

Yeppir, any of these leading DRIVE IMAGING utilities will do the job for your friend. Just don't try any form of straight copying (even XXCopy) or ordinary backup software, cuz for capturing an entire ACTIVE partition, they simply absolutely positively WON'T WORK.
