Software to erase everything on puter

    Can someone tell me the best software to use, I want to clean out all programs and give this computer to my daughter. I used it for my business and don't want any traces of my files left to be retrieved. I can reload windows for her. Dell Dimension 8400, windows XP.

    You answer your question.If you gonna install new Windows,with formating you will erase everything on your comp.

    It took me a minute to find it but this will erase everything off the hard drive Darik's Boot & Nuke
